As I was looking in Dymocks my dad noticed this book had been highly recommended by one of the workers there. So I decided to give it a go.

Max is stolen by a strigoi, which is similar to a vampire. His big sister Anna has to rescue him with the help of her friend Isabella. Anna finds a mysterious knife under her bed and a banner with an eagle on it on top of her wardrobe. These will help her find her brother.

My favourite part is when Anna is being chased around the room by the strigoi.

There are some scary parts in this book but you know that it is all fake. Book 2 is already out and Book 3 is coming out on 1st August 2018.

This book was recommended to me by a lady at Squishy Minnie, the best book shop in the world! The book has 109 chapters, taking me a week to read!

Bronte's parents were killed by pirates. They left a will with faery (yes this is how it is spelt) cross stitch around the edges. In the will it says that she must visit all of her ten aunts and give them presents. She must follow the instructions correctly or else her home town will tear apart. There is a plot twist in this book so I suggest you read it to find out!

I recommend this book to people who like magical creatures that look like humans.

Polly and Buster - The Mystery of the Magic Stones

Polly and Buster Book 2 was really good but it was a bit sad. Polly's dad had been crushed in a falling mine when she was younger. She sees her dad in ghost form but only for a short time. Polly has to put the gorvan to sleep which sets all the monsters and warlocks free.

Buster, the feelings monster, travels with Polly on all of her adventures however he gets travel sick when he rides on a broomstick.
Buster is chased by witches wanting to destroy him so he has to make them see that he isn't a bad creature. He can do that by helping Polly.

I recommend this book if you like mystery and adventure.
